Does not seem like too bad a storm. Nothing like Hurricane Ike for sure.

A Tropical Storm Threatens Mexico, Texas? It’s happened before and it will happen again! But, do not raise gas prices at the pump because of it.

Good news for Cental Texas from San Antonio up to Whcita Falls and from Dallas to Big Springs. Rain is coming soon.

Amazing why so many think big oil is the reason behind the prices at the pump for gasoline. The key to stopping the rapid rise & slow drop in gasoline prices is to remove crude oil & products refined from oil from the commodities markets. This would eliminate hedge funds, individual investors & foreign governments (Remember that OPEC does what ever it can to keep prices up as high as possible.) from participating in the oil & refined product trade.

Only the true oil producers, refiners & distributors would be left. Then it would be a few hundred companies to keep tab on instead of many thousands of hedge funds, foreign governments & individual investors. Once the numbers that can engage in oil & refined product trading is reduced to the industry itself the it will be easy to ensure that the prices we pay are fair & reasonable.

It wasn't even classified as a hurricane when it hit Mexico, only a tropical storm. No need to jack up oil prices, you speculators!

Boy the tropical storms have been close calls but the speculators still have and eagle eye out and are ready to pounce when we are close to getting a direct hit.

So, almighty traders, the price will similarly BE UNAFFECTED.

Once there is a news cast anywhere on how the storm is effecting oil production, up go the gas prices.

Oh boy. The speculators and big oil now have a flimsy excuse to get the price of gas up some more even though we have more this year than last. See article: North American driving season wraps up.
