The U.S. is turning into an energy ‘superpower’: API

MarketWatch.com -- A revolution in oil and natural-gas development hasn’t just spurred economic growth and new job creation in the United States, it’s turning the nation into an “energy superpower,” according to the American Petroleum Institute.

“There is a new energy reality of vast domestic resources of oil and natural gas brought about by advancing technology,” Karen Moreau, executive director of API’s New York State Petroleum Council told reporters in Washington Monday.

The U.S. produces more natural gas NGH13 +0.32% than any nation in the world, she said, and its daily production of more than 6 million barrels of oil CLH3 +0.03% is the third largest in the world.

The U.S. is turning into an energy ‘superpower.’ But gas prices continue to rise and Big Oil and Big Gas sells fuel and natural gas on the world market for higher prices.
The US ‘oil and natural gas resources’ belong to the citizens of this country and are to be used by those same citizens! The price at the pump needs to go down to $2/gallon - *$3, *$3.50/gallon or *$4.00 is Not the new low!
More Refineries are Not the answer, Stop exporting fuel is!
Take care of the domestic fuel market first, above all else!
Drive vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!

I can hardly believe this with the HO in "power". Perhaps it is "in spite" of his idiocy and failed energy polices.

It must be getting dumped on the world market instead of being used to benefit the domestic economy 'cause pump prices don't reflect it.

Now if we could just put a STOP TO BIG OIL'S GREED and PRICE GOUGING, then AMERICA would be a real "ENERGY SUPERPOWER"!!!

We are the ONLY COUNTRY in the WORLD where the price of GAS GOES UP when there is a MAJOR NEW SOURCE FOUND. Even with both OIL and NATURAL GAS!!!

Good for us that we produce more natural gas we should produce more unleaded fuel so prices would go down.
