‘Designated Driver’ Ticketed For Driving 135MPH On I-57

CBS -- ONARGA, Ill. (STMW) – A west suburban man told police who stopped him on Interstate 57 Sunday afternoon that he was a designated driver and wanted to get his intoxicated passenger home safely — that’s why he was driving 135 mph.

So, he was driving 135 mph in a 65 mph zone and got a ticket for driving 40 mph over the speed limit? Sounds like someone needs to hone his math skills.

Wow, what an idiot! And he was ticketed for going 40 mph over the speed limit when the speed limit was 65, even though he was going 135, so he got off lucky in my book. Don't people go to jail for that?
